While the article has a lot of very valuable information, the sidebar links need investigating as well! The first statement to catch my eye in the article is "In terms of cost, blog marketing is probably the second least expensive form of marketing after word-of-mouth promotion, and the truth is, other than your time, blog marketing can be done for free."

In essence, when you think about it, blog marketing is word-of mouth promotion on the web. And I have been looking for a way to market PJ's Corner Gift Shoppe in a more effective way. In an effort to search and peruse this article without loosing it's link, I utilized "Send to Blogger" from my Google Tool Bar. Inventory Complete...

It is inventory time and it took Mom and I two weeks to complete it! We started on the 16th of November and completed it on the 30th. Everything is in its place now and the workshoppe is organized. As you can see we utilize every inch of space!!

Besides the creation date of a website, you will find a screen print, Alexa ranking, last update date and website status. This will come in handy to see if you have found a website that has been in business for awhile or just getting started.

New Design ~ Winter Homestead 'n' Elk...

Our latest Christmas design, "Winter Homestead 'n' Elk" was taken from a painting that my mother painted back in 2000. From memory she drew a red 'n' white homestead replete with a red 'n' white barn and an elk looking on from afar. This scene was painted on a cross section of a tree trunk so the radiating lines that you see in the picture are part of the trunk.

Open For Business...

Today I reactivated the shopping cart for the PJ's Corner Gift Shoppe. I will be working on the revamping of each of the pages, one page at a time. The "Twiglet the Little Christmas Tree" page was redesigned and added to the Product By Design Column.


I am adding a "price tag" and "add to cart" to each of the products and linking the products to their individual pages in the store front to these images.

This should make the order process much easier to navigate. A "view cart" image 'n' link has been placed in the top left hand corner and in the center below the product listed on the page as well.

More Satellite Problems...

I found the answer to my satellite problems today! It is because I exceeded the Fair Access Policy Threshold!! To put it in English, I downloaded more megabytes that I am paying for so my internet speed suffered for the next 24 hours. This new policy came into affect about a month ago...right when I was having my major satellite problems.

I told the representatives then that it felt like I was being kicked off the satellite. In essence I was! I can not exceed this threshold in any given 24 hour period. So I had to wait until 5:30 or 6:00 pm to enjoy my fast internet speed again. Now, to be able to download large files and as many megabytes as I want, I do have a three hour window in which to complete these jobs!

As a result of this new policy, I have a feeling that it affected my network of printers that have IP addresses. I had to reinstall the drivers for the printers that were hooked up during the problems last month.
